Ivo Bernardo spoke at Data with Purpose Summit on impact-driven AI

On May 7, Ivo Bernardo, co-founder of DareData, joined the Data-Driven Innovation roundtable at the Data with Purpose Summit, hosted at NOVA IMS.

The session, moderated by Rita Rugeroni Saldanha, brought together leaders from diverse sectors to discuss how data can move beyond dashboards and drive tangible outcomes in organisations and communities.

Ivo shared how DareData starts AI system design by asking the right question, not writing code. “The first question is always: what data actually matters for your challenge?” he noted. He also pointed to intuition as a key technical tool in identifying hidden patterns within businesses.

From city planning to entrepreneurship, the conversation reinforced that innovation starts with curiosity and connecting ideas across disciplines.
