Ivo Bernardo explained how Gen-OS is helping clients like NOS automate high-volume processes while balancing automation with human oversight.

On June 23, Jornal Económico published an interview with Ivo Bernardo, Co-founder and Partner at DareData, focused on how Gen-OS is bringing AI into high-stakes enterprise operations.

Ivo shared that Gen-OS enables automation of up to 80% of processes while keeping humans in the loop for critical decisions. In the case of NOS’s Legal Department, AI is already saving around 640 hours of work each month, allowing teams to shift focus to more strategic tasks.

He highlighted that DareData’s approach balances automation with controlled human oversight, acknowledging that AI is not yet able to handle 100% of complex scenarios. Gen-OS is designed to identify its own limitations and hand over tasks where human judgement remains essential.

Beyond legal operations, Ivo explained how Gen-OS powers sales support and customer service by assigning specialised AI agents that collaborate on tasks such as database management or drafting communication. Still, complex environments with layered systems and exceptions require AI solutions that know when to escalate uncertainty to human operators.

The interview underlined DareData’s core philosophy: building AI systems that deliver measurable efficiency while safeguarding against the risks of unchecked automation.
