The advancements in Generative Artificial Intelligence and models like ChatGPT promise to deliver unprecedented levels of productivity. The proper implementation of these advanced AI models into the daily routines of society could lead to significant progress in human productivity and capability, and the opportunities in this area are clear. However, we face a set of challenges and risks. Data privacy and ethics in the use of these AI models have become central concerns. There is a potential conflict between the rights and interests of millions of people and the exploitative use of these models. As evidenced by the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike, the use of these systems can disrupt various professions by capitalizing on others’ intellectual property, a scenario that raises deep ethical, philosophical, and moral questions. Deliberation on these issues is not just important—it is essential.

In your opinion, what are the main technological trends for the coming year?

The integration of chatbots into almost every application that requires access to knowledge (such as instruction manuals, FAQs, or other documents) is a trend that materializes through Generative AI models and will continue to be prominent. On the organizational side, it is crucial to focus more on integrating their data and creating a robust internal data ecosystem. This should be structured to maximize the potential of machine learning and Artificial Intelligence models. This trend becomes even more significant as a substantial part of companies’ core business increasingly relies on the use and interaction with AI models.
